Ellis Mather Manufacturing is part of Ellis Mather Group, a growing UK group combining engineering, manufacturing and product-led businesses.

At the heart of our manufacturing division sits MAKE Metalwork, a specialist steel fabrication business delivering high-quality metalwork solutions to commercial, industrial and trade customers. Alongside this, we are building Pentaura, a premium steel lifestyle brand.

We are ambitious, hands-on and commercially driven. As we invest further into our fabrication capability, capacity and brand presence, we’re looking to bring in a Sales Manager to help push the business forward.

The opportunity

This role is for someone dynamic, enthusiastic and commercially sharp, someone who enjoys being at the front of the business, opening doors, building relationships and turning opportunity into momentum.

You’ll be the driving force behind sales growth for MAKE Metalwork. This is not a passive management role. You’ll be out talking to customers, generating opportunities, following up enquiries and building long-term relationships with businesses who value quality fabrication and reliable delivery.

You’ll work closely with production and operations to ensure what we sell is delivered well, and you’ll have direct access to Group leadership, meaning ideas move quickly and decisions aren’t buried in layers of hierarchy.

What you’ll be doing

Actively driving new business for MAKE Metalwork through outreach, networking and relationship building

Managing inbound and outbound enquiries from first conversation through to order placement

Building strong relationships with commercial, industrial and trade customers

Working closely with fabrication and production teams to align sales activity with capability

Developing repeat and ongoing customer relationships

Representing the business confidently in meetings, site visits and negotiations

Collaborating with colleagues across Ellis Mather Manufacturing, including the Pentaura sales function, where opportunities align

This is a role for someone who likes pace, enjoys ownership and wants to see the direct impact of their work.
