About You
You’re a student or early-career professional interested in learning how B2B sales and business development work in a manufacturing environment. You’re comfortable researching companies, organizing information, and turning your findings into clear, actionable insights.
You’re interested in prospecting and qualifying new customers and leads—identifying fit, understanding needs, and helping prioritize opportunities. You enjoy digging into data, asking thoughtful questions, and building a complete picture before taking action.
You’re detail-oriented, reliable, and practical. You’re comfortable working with spreadsheets and CRM systems and want hands-on experience doing real work that directly supports account managers and company growth.
What You’ll Do
Research dormant, declining, and potential new customer accounts and prepare reactivation-ready summaries for account managers
Prospect and qualify new customers and leads by researching company profiles, industries, use cases, and overall fit
Analyze industry, market, and geographic trends to identify new business opportunities
Support business development and account managers with research, outreach preparation, and meeting coordination
Maintain and update CRM records with accurate research, notes, and engagement details
Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations to support sales planning and decision-making
Work closely with sales and account management teams to improve customer targeting and engagement
Use tools such as Excel, CRM software, and research platforms to organize and interpret data
What Success Looks Like
By the end of the internship, you’ll have contributed research and insights used directly by account managers, supported prospecting and qualification efforts, and helped identify new opportunities through structured analysis and reporting.
