About the Opportunity

Sales Intern

David Zwirner is seeking a motivated and personable Sales Intern to support the Sales Team in New York. This position offers an excellent opportunity for candidates to gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a leading contemporary art gallery. Ideal candidates will be organized, reliable, and eager to contribute to a dynamic environment.

What you’ll do:

• Provide administrative and project support to the Front Desk and larger Sales Team.

• Assist with exhibition-related tasks, including:

• Support gallery openings and events across all David Zwirner NYC locations.

• Act as a gallery attendant, ensuring the security and presentation of artwork.

• Serve as a knowledgeable resource for the public, answering questions about current exhibitions and the gallery's programming.

• Support the shipping, receiving, and distribution of mail and packages across all NY locations.

• Prepare materials for client viewings and assist with client book mailings as requested.

• Maintain and update internal resource documents.

• Routinely restock supplies, including staff kitchens.

• Ensure the pristine appearance of workstations.

The Winter/Spring internship runs from January through April. This position is Tuesday-Saturday or Monday-Friday, 10AM – 6PM, with additional hours for occasional evening events. To ensure that our interns have a well-rounded and educational experience, we ask for a commitment of 3 months. All interns are paid NYC minimum wage of $17/hour. All candidates must be residents of NY, NJ, or CT. No lodging or commuting expenses will be provided.
