Requirements:
 
Education: Degree or background in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics, Commerce, Event Management, Tourism, or related fields (preferred).
 
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in wedding planning, events, hospitality, or entertainment, preferably in commercial and management-focused positions within the hotel industry (luxury segment preferred).
 
Knowledge
 
• Strong relationships with wedding planners, venues, and key market players at both national and international levels.
• Active connections with public relations professionals and event promoters.
• Experience in event production, operations, and logistics.
• Strong network within the event production and meeting planner community in Mexico City and the United States.
• Understanding of how social and events industry trade shows and fairs operate.
• Development and implementation of venue-based programs.
• Coordination and operational execution of events.
• Analysis of projections and forecasting.
• Design and implementation of seasonal promotions.
• Proficiency in Sales & Catering systems.
Key Responsibilities and Duties1. Development of Commercial Strategies
• Design and implement sales and marketing strategies aimed at increasing market share and maximizing food and beverage revenue through events.
• Identify market trends, customer needs, and market conditions to generate business opportunities aligned with the optimal operation of venues and the hotel.
2. Team Leadership
• Lead, train, and motivate the event sales team, ensuring alignment with hotel objectives and service standards.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
3. Client Relationship Management
• Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with clients, corporate accounts, and agencies.
• Serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, ensuring their expectations are met.
4. Event Coordination
• Oversee the planning and execution of events, ensuring client requirements are fulfilled.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as catering, operations, and marketing to ensure seamless execution.
5. Negotiation and Sales Closing
• Effectively present the hotel’s services and negotiate contracts under favorable conditions for both parties.
• Ensure successful deal closures and maximize the value of each opportunity.
6. Financial Management and Forecasting
• Define and manage annual budgets and revenue forecasts for the department.
• Monitor commercial performance and adjust strategies according to results.
7. Market and Competitive Analysis
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to maintain competitiveness.
• Propose new initiatives, services, and trends applicable to the business.
8. Promotion and Marketing
• Collaborate with the marketing team on campaigns and promotional materials focused on events.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
9. Post-Event Follow-Up
• Ensure collection of post-event feedback to measure satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement continuous improvement actions based on the results obtained.
10. Reporting and Analysis
• Generate periodic reports on sales performance, event pipeline, and forecasts.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented strategies and make adjustments based on results.
