Role Description

We are looking for a Sales Engineer who acts as the technical "engine room" of our sales cycle. You will be the primary bridge between the initial client spark and the delivery team's execution. Your mission is to ensure that every promise made during the sales process is technically sound, accurately estimated, and clearly documented. You will support our sales reps by taking the technical lead on discovery calls, translating requirements into professional Statements of Work (SOWs), and coordinating with our engineering leads to provide realistic project estimations for complex mobile and web applications.


Requirements:
• Technical Discovery: Lead discovery sessions with prospective clients to deeply understand their mobile and web application requirements.
• Requirements Synthesis: Analyze sales call transcripts and notes to extract core technical needs, user stories, and business constraints.
• Estimation Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between Sales and Delivery, gathering labor and time estimations from Tech Leads and PMs to ensure projects are feasible and profitable.
• SOW & Proposal Creation: Draft comprehensive, professional Statements of Work (SOWs) and technical proposals that clearly define project scope, tech stacks, and deliverables.
• Technical Demonstrations: Prepare and deliver product demos that highlight our AI-native development capabilities and mobile expertise.
• Asset Management: Develop and maintain a library of reusable technical assets, including architectural templates, case studies, and SOW modules to increase sales velocity.
• Seamless Handoff: Ensure a "zero-gap" handoff from the Sales team to the Delivery team once a contract is signed, providing PMs with everything they need to start.
• Lead Qualification: Evaluate technical feasibility for incoming leads (e.g., from Bark) to ensure they align with our focus on high-quality product development.
• Sales Support: Assist sales reps with ad-hoc technical queries, CRM updates, and proposal adjustments to keep deals moving at high speed.

Qualifications

• Technical Foundation: 3+ years in a technical role such as Mobile/Web Development, Product Management, or Solutions Architecture.
• Sales Acumen: Proven experience in a client-facing "Deal Desk" or Sales Engineering capacity within a software agency or product studio.
• Masterful Documentation: Exceptional writing skills with the ability to draft clear, legally-conscious, and technical SOWs.
• Bridge Builder: The ability to "speak engineer" to our developers and "speak business" to our clients.
• Process Oriented: Highly organized with experience using tools like ClickUp, HubSpot, and AI-assisted documentation tools (e.g., Otter.ai, Fireflies, or ChatGPT).
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to identify potential project risks during the sales phase and mitigate them through better scoping.
