• Relationship Management: Lead high-touch partnerships with Japanese brands and rights holders; must navigate local business etiquette and hierarchies.
 
• Project Delivery: Manage the full project lifecycle, ensuring global data standards are localized and delivered on time.
 
• Vendor Management (not a must but good to have): Source and oversee local Japanese research agencies and data providers to ensure quality and budget compliance.
 
• Media Expertise: Strong knowledge of the Japan-specific media mix (Terrestrial TV vs. BS/Satellite) and the local sports landscape (J-League, NPB, etc.).
 
• Language Skills: Dual fluency is mandatory. Native Japanese for clients and Business English for global internal coordination with the international team.
