Job Description
Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Sales Director for a premier, nationwide provider of Payroll, HR, and Timekeeping solutions.
This is a growth-focused leadership role based on-site in Williamsburg. Reporting directly to the CEO and Executive Team, you will lead a 50-year legacy firm into its next phase of expansion. This is not a "desk job"—we are looking for a high-energy Sales Director who leads from the front, joining the team in the field for cold calls and prospect meetings. You will be responsible for recruiting top-tier talent, instilling a data-driven culture of accountability, and refining the sales system to ensure consistent revenue growth in the competitive HRIS market.
Job Responsibilities
• Team Architecture & Coaching: Recruit, onboard, and elevate sales talent; provide active "in-the-field" coaching by joining prospect meetings and modeling successful closing techniques.
• Revenue Accountability: Own the sales quota, ensuring the team consistently meets or exceeds weekly, monthly, and quarterly revenue targets.
• Process Engineering: Maintain and refine a repeatable sales system, ensuring clear expectations and rigorous pipeline management.
• Forecasting & Analytics: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and utilize CRM data to identify performance trends and untapped growth opportunities.
• Leadership Cadence: Lead weekly team meetings to review KPIs, set strategic priorities, and proactively solve obstacles for the sales force.
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Client Success to optimize lead conversion and ensure a seamless customer onboarding experience.
• Culture Advocacy: Foster an environment characterized by collaboration, high-speed execution, and continuous professional improvement.
Requirements:
Experience & Leadership
• Minimum of 8+ years of B2B sales experience is REQUIRED.
• Team Management: Proven track record of managing and scaling B2B sales teams to hit aggressive quotas.
• Industry Background: Previous experience in Payroll, HRIS, PEO, or HCM solutions is strongly preferred.
• Closer Mindset: Demonstrated success in complex deal closing and high-level pipeline management.
Skills & Competencies
• Process-Oriented: A data-driven leader who values a repeatable, scalable sales methodology.
• CRM Mastery: Highly proficient in modern CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Pipedrive, or similar).
• Communication: Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence C-suite decision-makers.
• Proactivity: A self-starter with a "no excuses" approach to problem-solving and target attainment.
Benefits:
• Comprehensive health, vision, and dental insurance plans
• Life insurance coverage
• 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions
• Paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and holidays
• Opportunities for career growth and advancement
