About the Role

TwelveLabs is expanding beyond our core Media & Entertainment focus to bring the transformative power of video AI to new and emerging verticals. As a Sales Development Representative for Emerging Verticals, you will play a critical role in building our presence across Marketing & Advertising, Health & Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Robotics, Automotive, and other high-potential industries.

This is an entry-level role designed for individuals who are eager to learn enterprise sales, understand cutting-edge AI technology, and help shape how multimodal video foundation models get adopted across diverse industries. You will work closely with our Account Executives to identify prospects, research target accounts, develop outreach strategies, and qualify opportunities in verticals where TwelveLabs is just beginning to establish a foothold.

This is a foundational role where you will gain exposure to cutting-edge technology, develop critical sales skills, and contribute directly to TwelveLabs' expansion into new markets.

In this role you will

• Generate qualified pipeline in emerging verticals. Identify and engage prospective customers across Marketing & Advertising, Health & Life Sciences, Manufacturing, Robotics, Automotive, and other emerging verticals through targeted outbound efforts.

• Conduct market research and account planning. Research target industries, companies, and personas to understand their video data challenges and identify how TwelveLabs' technology can deliver value.

• Execute multi-channel outreach campaigns. Develop and execute personalized outreach via email, LinkedIn, phone, and other channels to generate interest and book qualified meetings for Account Executives.

• Qualify inbound and outbound leads. Engage with prospects to understand their business needs, technical requirements, and buying process, ensuring only high-quality opportunities are passed to the sales team.

• Collaborate with Account Executives. Work closely with AEs to develop account strategies, align on target personas, and support the sales process from initial contact through opportunity handoff.

• Partner with Marketing. Provide feedback on messaging, campaign effectiveness, and market insights to help refine demand generation strategies for emerging verticals.

• Educate prospects on video AI capabilities. Help potential customers understand how multimodal video foundation models can solve their specific business challenges, from automated quality inspection in manufacturing to medical imaging analysis in healthcare.

• Track and report on pipeline metrics. Maintain accurate records in CRM, track outreach activities, and provide regular updates on pipeline development, conversion rates, and market insights.

• Contribute to go-to-market strategy. As an early member of our emerging verticals effort, share learnings about what messaging resonates, which use cases gain traction, and how to best position TwelveLabs in new markets.

You may be a good fit if you have

• 0-2 years of professional experience in sales, business development, marketing, or a related field. Recent graduates or career changers with strong motivation are encouraged to apply.

• Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn. Genuine interest in AI/ML technology and enthusiasm for understanding how video AI can transform diverse industries.

• Strong communication skills. Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely in written and verbal communication, adapting your message for different audiences.

• Research and analytical abilities. Comfortable conducting independent research to identify target accounts, understand industry trends, and uncover potential use cases for video AI.

• Self-motivated and results-oriented. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, and consistently achieve goals in fast-paced environments.

• Resilience and adaptability. Comfortable with rejection, able to iterate quickly based on feedback, and excited by the challenge of exploring uncharted markets.

• Collaborative mindset. Strong team player who enjoys working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to achieve shared goals.

• Organized and detail-oriented. Ability to manage multiple outreach campaigns simultaneously, maintain accurate records, and follow through on commitments.

• Tech-savvy. Comfortable learning and using sales tools including CRM systems (e.g., Salesloft, Clay, HubSpot, Apollo, etc.), sales engagement platforms, and productivity tools.

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Relevant experience, demonstrated skills, and passion for the role are more important than credentials.
