Diversified Construction & Design is currently seeking a Safety Technician to join our team at a local facility. This is a full-time, hourly position - No travel and No per diem. Ideal candidates will have construction site safety experience and a strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations. Position Summary
The Safety Technician supports the company’s safety program by promoting a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA and company regulations, and assisting site management in maintaining safe and orderly job sites. This role is responsible for monitoring safety practices, conducting inspections, administering minor first aid, and assisting with incident investigations and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Promote the company vision and growth strategy through a strong commitment to workplace safety
Enforce the use of required safety equipment and protective clothing in accordance with OSHA and company safety regulations
Ensure all project team members comply with company safety requirements
Maintain accurate and up-to-date safety records and documentation
Ensure work areas are neat, organized, and maintained in a safe condition
Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and complete required reports
Assist the Site Manager with administrative counseling of employees and subcontractors who are not in compliance with safety requirements
Conduct daily safety meetings and job site safety reviews
Perform regular walk-through inspections and communicate findings to the management team
Assist in correcting hazardous working conditions and unsafe employee activities
Administer minor first-aid treatment as needed
Utilize Microsoft Office software for documentation, reporting, and communication
Perform additional field and office duties as needed to support client requirements and company operations
Qualifications
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
Strong observational and communication skills
Ability to conduct safety meetings and training sessions
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to work both in the field and in an office environment
