Safety Strategy Intern

The Safety Strategy and Operations Team at Zoox is a cross­-functional organization, responsible for advancing Zoox’s primary safety management system and ensuring a proactive safety culture across the company. The Safety Strategy and Operations Intern will lead a critical independent safety process initiative and support the team’s safety efforts. 

As an intern on this team, you will have a valuable opportunity to tackle a substantive, independent project, while also supporting the team’s overall mission. You will have the opportunity to develop relationships, conduct internal projects, and help us with external outreach. 

Requirements:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, computer science or data science Must be returning to school to continue your education upon completing this internship Good academic standing Able to commit to a 12-week internship beginning in May or June of 2026 Ability to relocate to a city near Foster City, California for the duration of the internship Interns at Zoox may not use any proprietary information they are working on as part of their thesis, any published work with their university, or to be distributed to anyone outside of Zoox

Qualifications:
Experience with data, data mining, or data analysis Experience with vehicle safety and safety standards Excellent leadership, project management, and organizational skills High-level research and report-writing abilities Prior internship(s) at an AV developer/vehicle manufacturer/supplier is a plus

Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $5,500 to $7,500. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level of education. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, and a housing stipend (relocation assistance will be offered based on eligibility).
