Position: Health & Safety Instructor (Mobile Equipment Trainer)
Employment: Part-time
Location: Mississauga, ON
Salary: $31.25 - 36.00 per hour to start, DOE

Worksite Safety Compliance Centre is looking to grow our current team of instructors, specifically for the delivery of our CPO-approved Working at Heights program. This position is part-time (approx. 8 - 24 hrs/wk), delivering training on weekends at our Mississauga Warehouse Training Centre, and potentially a weekday if schedule permits. Depending on your range of experience and availability, this role could also include the delivery of our CPO-approved Working at Heights program and other courses.
As a Health & Safety Instructor your key responsibilities are:
Delivering engaging and informative mobile equipment training (scissor lift and/or forklift) to workers and job seekers
Evaluating participants through practical skills and written evaluation
Organizing, filing and submitting digital and hard copy participant records following training
Potentially delivering other courses, including Working at Heights training
Participating in team meetings and instructor development workshops
The right candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
3+ years experience delivering training (forklift and MEWP preferred, others may be considered an asset)
Forklift, mobile elevated work platforms and any other mobile equipment operating experience
Background in construction management and/or material handling industry
Work experience or certification in occupational health & safety preferred
Strong interest educating people on the importance and value of health & safety training
Self-starter who is able to work independently, while also contributing to a team
Strong presentation and adult-engagement skills
Valid Ontario’s Driver Licence - occasional travel by car for work
Able to legally work in Canada
