The services we provide range from Aerial/Underground Construction to Fiber Optic Splicing.

We are currently seeking skilled and motivated individuals for full-time employment as a Safety Assistant. The candidate should have a strong work ethic, strong attention to detail, and want to become a long-term member of the GoNetSpeed team.

Responsibilities :

Perform a minimum of 15 field observations weekly.

Maintain physical records of field observations.

Attend and participate in the Monthly Safety Committee Meeting.

Willing to travel out of state as needed between Monday thru Friday (this position will require a monthly visit to Vermont)

Perform New Hire Orientations and E-Safety Training.

Maintain records of New Hire Safety training.

Report weekly (Friday) to Department managers and Directors, field observations.

Perform 5-10 observations weekly on sub-contractors.

Distribute and maintain PPE at the offices. (As well as monitoring usage).

Weekly, Monday morning zoom meeting for brainstorming safety issues with Safety Department.

Monthly Exit, Extinguisher, forklift, and grounds inspections.

Maintain records of Fork truck inspections/ ladder inspections/ warehouse inspections.

Qualifications:

Safety Training/Trainer experience.

Working knowledge of DOT/Work Zone set-ups/Ladder training/PPE/Driver training/underground work

Previous experience in conducting field inspections of fire exits, extinguishers, forklifts, and Grounds Inspections.

Possess a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.

Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
