Job Summary:
This role is focused on Safety (Osha/Cal Osha), DOT compliance, Driver, and Vehicle qualification files in accordance with DOT and FMCSA regulations. Monitoring, processing and assisting drivers and internal personnel with HOS, Vehicle camera and tracking systems. Monitor, audit and maintain UIIA, Emodal PDTR. Excel, Word, Tracking systems and power point.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Assist with Osha and CalOsha safety compliance.
Assist with maintaining UIIA, Emodal and PDTR systems.
Assist with maintaining and auditing of Driver qualification file. (Annual expiration date of DQF requirements)
Assist with maintaining equipment files and period inspections in accordance with DOT and FMCSA.
Assist with monitoring and auditing carrier insurance and authority requirements.
Monitor and respond to any security concerns while monitoring cameras and front office log-in tablet daily. Ensure cameras are functional and operational.
Ensure both yards and office building areas are clean, and rooms are used for their purpose of design
Go to Cota once a week on trash day to take out and return trash bins. Perform a walkthrough and make sure there are no tires, oil cans, or piling up around the yard.
Assist with monitoring and ensuring optimal performance of charging stations, warehouses, and office facilities.
Conduct regular safety audits, training programs, and inspections for drivers and fleet maintenance staff.
Monitoring drivers' HOS to ensure compliance with federal regulations regarding rest breaks, driving hours, and time off.
Make sure the yard is clean, organized, and in great shape.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Preferred 1 years’ experience in a transportation environment, A background in safety knowledge ( OSHA & DOT requirements),
Excellent organizational skills in prioritizing tasks, recognizing gaps and maintaining records,
Ability to work well with peers and external vendors with strong customer service and relational skills,
Great customer service verbal, and written communication skills,
Strong computer and technology skills including proficiency in MS Office/Google applications.
Ability to hold multiple projects and routine tasks simultaneously.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing ladders.
Prolonged sitting, routine lifting and bending, routine walking throughout the yard daily.
