Title: Safety Advisor

About the Role
We are looking for a practical, field-focused Safety Advisor to support our residential construction operations. You will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture across active sites, ensuring compliance with Alberta OHS legislation, and supporting our teams through inspections, training, and proactive risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Support and promote compliance with Alberta OHS legislation, company policies, and safe work practices
Serve as the main safety point of contact for employees and contractors
Perform site inspections and safety audits
Investigate incidents and near misses and track corrective actions
Deliver safety orientations and onboarding for staff and trades
Coach and support site supervisors and trades on safe work practices
Maintain safety documentation, reports, and tracking metrics
Support COR certification and ensure audit readiness
Monitor trade compliance, PPE use, and housekeeping standards
Lead safety meetings and address contractor non-compliance
Compile safety summaries and trend insights for leadership
What You Bring
NCSO designation preferred
3–5 years’ construction safety experience
Residential construction experience strongly preferred
Solid understanding of Alberta OHS and COR requirements
Proven experience with inspections, investigations, and safety training
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Comfortable with Microsoft Office and digital safety tools (e.g., SiteDocs)
