As an Audio-Visual Commissioning Technician, you will work in the technical deployment team configuring and setting up Networked AV-UC systems and verifying their functionality on customer sites. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration so that all work exceeds client expectations before handover. This is a hands-on, client-facing role based predominantly at client sites across Adelaide, with occasional time in our Head Office in Dulwich. Key Responsibilities
Configure and set up network-based AV and UC devices, including loading programming, firmware, and control code.
Conduct functional and performance tests using specialist AV test equipment, ensuring systems meet design specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical and network-related faults methodically.
Produce commissioning documentation, including test reports and device lists.
Liaise with project managers, programmers, and installers to finalise system integration prior to sign-off.
Key Experience & Capabilities
Minimum 3 years’ experience in AV system commissioning, configuration, or a similar technical role.
Strong PC skills, including O365 proficiency; relevant industry certifications (Cisco, MS Teams, Crestron, Extron, or Q-SYS) highly regarded.
Understanding of networked AV devices, serial communications, Ethernet networks, and AV system architecture.
Proficiency in fault finding and diagnosis, with experience using AV test equipment (e.g., signal generators, cable testers).
Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and make sound technical decisions in fast-paced environments.
Current driver’s licence and Construction White Card.
