Position Summary
Trimax Mowing Systems is seeking a highly organized and analytical Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Manager to lead the company’s integrated planning process for our Fayetteville, Georgia operation. This role is responsible for aligning sales forecasts, production capacity, inventory planning, procurement, and operational execution to ensure customer demand is met efficiently and profitably.
The S&OP Manager will serve as a cross-functional leader working closely with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and Customer Service teams to develop accurate demand plans, improve inventory performance, optimize production scheduling, and support strategic business growth.
This position plays a critical role in balancing customer service, operational efficiency, and financial performance while supporting Trimax’s commitment to delivering premium mowing solutions worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Operations Planning
Lead and manage the monthly S&OP process across the Fayetteville operation.
Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, dealer/customer input, and sales pipeline information.
Coordinate consensus forecasting activities between Sales, Finance, and Operations.
Translate demand forecasts into actionable production and inventory plans.
Monitor forecast accuracy and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Production & Capacity Planning
Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams to balance labor, materials, equipment, and production capacity.
Identify capacity constraints and recommend mitigation strategies.
Support master production scheduling and long-range operational planning.
Drive alignment between operational capabilities and customer delivery expectations.
Inventory & Supply Chain Management
Optimize inventory levels for finished goods, components, and service parts.
Partner with procurement and suppliers to ensure material availability.
Monitor inventory turns, shortages, excess inventory, and aging stock.
Develop strategies to reduce lead times and improve supply reliability.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Facilitate regular planning meetings with key stakeholders.
Present demand, supply, and inventory performance metrics to leadership.
Act as a liaison between Sales and Operations to resolve planning conflicts.
Support strategic initiatives including new product launches, ERP improvements, and process standardization.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Develop dashboards and KPIs related to forecast accuracy, inventory performance, customer service levels, and production attainment.
Analyze operational trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
Utilize ERP/MRP systems and Excel-based analysis tools to support planning activities.
Drive data integrity and process discipline throughout the planning cycle.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in S&OP, supply chain, production planning, operations planning, or related manufacturing environments.
Strong understanding of demand planning, inventory management, forecasting, and production scheduling.
Experience working in manufacturing or industrial equipment environments preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or IBF certification).
Experience with lean manufacturing principles.
Knowledge of KPI reporting and business analytics tools.
Experience supporting dealer or distribution-based sales channels.
