Ruby on Rails Developer - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

We expect:

• At least 3 years of experience building web applications with the Ruby on Rails framework.
• In-depth and practical knowledge of "full-stack" development - writing high-quality and fast "backend" (Ruby, DB, MVC) and "frontend" (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) code.
• Professional skills in working with relational database systems, creating data structures and queries, as well as their optimization.
• Ability to work independently with technical documentation, change management, development and bug reports.
• Ability to work in a team, set and implement goals, be approachable and treat work carefully.
• Good knowledge of English and Latvian (oral and written).

We would like you to have:

• Experience in configuring Linux (Fedora/Debian) servers, preparing containers (Docker, Compose), automating deliveries (Capistrano), creating unit tests and integration tests (RSpec, Capybara) and debugging problems at any level of system operation.
• Knowledge of web application development standards, technological current affairs and security guidelines.
• Experience in planning the technical architecture of a full-scale system, including integration (API) with third-party systems.
• Knowledge of mobile development principles and practical experience.
• Skills in work and communication with customers/customers.
• Mentoring skills of junior colleagues.
