Department: Client Business / Royalties Administrators
Reports to: Royalty Manager
Contract Type: 9 to 12 Months FixedTerm Contract (FTC)
Location: London
The Blair Partnership is a literary and entertainment agency. We offer our clients a broad range of services including rights management, client representation and franchise management. As part of those services, we help to manage several companies on behalf of our client J.K. Rowling. Those companies include Pottermore and Bronte. These businesses benefit from shared resources and expertise provided by The Blair Partnership, but they are run by their own leaders.
There are three core pillars to The Blair Partnership’s business activity:
Franchise Management – which encompasses brand & franchise vision and strategy, creative strategy & direction, product development, brand management & comms for the Wizarding World franchise
Client Management - we represent our clients’ literary and entertainment rights portfolios and pursue commercial opportunities for our clients through deal making in the UK, US and internationally, partner management and backlist rights management.
Governance & support - we provide governance and support to companies owned by J.K. Rowling and Neil Blair. As part of that support, we cultivate close collaboration & strong, cohesive working practices between all the businesses.

The Client Business Team play a crucial role in managing the relationships between our clients and their publishers. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that they are properly rewarded for the sales and use of their work whether that be in Books, TV, Film or Artwork.
Our team is a small and important part of the larger finance team, with the culture as important as anything else. We like to get work done to a high standard but also have fun while we’re doing it.
We’re not stuffy suit-and-tie types, we’re real people that our client’s can count on to make sure they’re getting what they’re entitled to for producing world-class stories.
We are recruiting for 2x candidates for this position contracted for a 9-to-12-month period.
What you’ll be doing
Assist with data input of various agreements on the agencies current system (RS2)
Involvement in moving to the new royalties management system (Alliant).
Reviewing incoming statements and entering data into system. Checking they are correct
Preparing and issuing invoices and payment advices.
Track and chase publishers for overdue statements and payments
Providing Ad Hoc support to wider business teams
Liaising with internal teams (legal, agency, international) + External Partners (Clients, Representatives, Publishers etc)
Maintaining communication between clients and publishers
What we're looking for
Essential:
1.5–2+ years’ experience in royalties, rights, publishing finance, or a similar media accounting environment.
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to interpret contractual terms and apply them to financial data.
Proficiency with Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data cleansing).
Experience working with royalty or rights management systems.
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Ability to work with large datasets.
Clear and confident communication skills.
Desirable:
Experience within a literary agency, publishing house, or media rights organisation.
Familiarity with royalty structures across print, digital, audio, and subsidiary rights.
Knowledge of international royalty reporting formats.
Experience supporting system implementations or process improvements.
