Rough/Grind General Labourer

We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual to fill the position of Rough/Grind General Labourer at Accurate Manufacturing 4.0.

The Rough/Grind General Labourer is responsible for grinding and prepping work pieces for machining. Additionally, this team member will assist the Shop Foreman preparing shipments for customers and performing general maintenance and custodial duties as required.

This position reports directly to the Shop Foreman.

Key Responsibilities:

Disc grind and prep work pieces for machining

Utilize hand tools to remove slag from steel

Inspect completed jobs to ensure accuracy and quality

Assist leader with all aspects of ‘off–cut’ inventory tracking (measure, record, mark, data entry)

Assist in Messer table prep and maintenance as needed

Move jobs between departments accurately, safely and efficiently

Assist in preparing shipments for customers

Perform weekly maintenance checks on machinery and assist in service to machinery

Perform general custodial duties on shop floor where required

Required Qualifications:

Welding, blanchard grinding or flame-cutting experience an asset but not required

Strong work ethic

Able to follow line-up from leader and learn company procedures

Good communication and organizational skills

Able to work independently or as part of a team

Exceptional attention to detail and able to ensure quality standards are upheld

Technically skilled with the ability to multitask
