Job Summary GAS is seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Supervisor to oversee, coordinate, and control all rotating equipment maintenance activities during the upcoming SABIC shutdown/turnaround. The Rotating Supervisor will manage teams of technicians, ensure execution according to SABIC standards, and maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency. This position requires strong technical expertise in rotating machinery, leadership skills, and hands-on shutdown experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate all rotating equipment maintenance activities during shutdown.
• Lead teams responsible for disassembly, inspection, repair, overhaul, and reassembly of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, blowers, fans, agitators, gearboxes, mechanical seals, and couplings.
• Ensure precision alignment (laser/dial), measurement, clearances, and tolerances meet OEM and SABIC specifications.
• Monitor workflow, provide technical solutions, and ensure timely execution according to shutdown plans.
• Review mechanical job packages and verify all materials, tools, and equipment are available before job start.
• Ensure compliance with SABIC standards, quality procedures, and safety requirements (PPE, LOTO, permit system).
• Coordinate daily with planners, QA/QC, safety personnel, and SABIC representatives.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and guide technicians on proper repair techniques.
• Verify inspection findings, reassembly quality, and final run-test acceptance.
• Prepare daily progress reports, labor allocation, and job completion documentation.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities after mechanical completion.
