ibis Melbourne Glen Waverley is situated just 25 minutes east of the Melbourne CBD and features 155 modern rooms, the inviting ibis Kitchen & Bar, and four flexible meeting rooms catering for up to 120 delegates. Our hotel sits at the gateway to the magnificent Dandenong Ranges, the Yarra Valley Food & Wine District, the Mornington Peninsula, Phillip Island, and right in the heart of vibrant Glen Waverley.

We are now seeking passionate and motivated individuals to join our Housekeeping team as Room Attendant / Houseperson.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those who love the Hospitality Industry and have a natural ability to make guests feel welcome through cleanliness, comfort, and service excellence. Key duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Cleaning guest rooms; including bedrooms, bathrooms, floors, and corridors to the hotel's standards for guest arrivals
• Ensuring towels and linen are refilled, replaced and stored correctly
• Assist the Housekeeping team through the delivery of all hotel linen, chemicals, laundry, deliveries and heavy/lifting work
• Ensure high standards of property presentation, hygiene and cleanliness.  Ensure economic use of chemicals and linen
• Performing any basic maintenance, or report and coordinate major maintenance requirements
• Using appropriate chemicals for cleaning purposes ensuring safe work practices are maintained
• Ensuring high standards of property presentation, hygiene and cleanliness
• Ensure all corridors are free of trays, linen trolleys or cages
• Assist with the removal of rollaway beds and cots
• Assist guests with general enquiries

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (advantageous but not essential)
• A friendly, customer focused attitude with the drive to provide total customer satisfaction
• Strong attention to detail with a passion for hospitality
• A hands-on and pro-active work ethic and you enjoy getting things done
• Good communication and time management skills with a friendly personality
• Knowledge of appropriate chemicals for cleaning purposes, ensuring safe work practices are always adhered to
• Availability to work varied shifts including weekends and public holidays
