Job description:
SAM Construction Group is a fully integrated Developer/Builder of apartment communities who self-performs several scopes of work, including Concrete, Civil, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical and Roofing.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Foreman will work with their roofing crew. This is a hands-on position.
Provide training and assistance to their crew as needed.
Working knowledge of membrane roofing installation (TPO) for new residential construction.
Perform maintenance and repair work on existing residential properties.
Oversee scheduling of roofing material and equipment.
Read and understand blueprints and construction documents.
Ensure quality of work.
Recognize safety as a top priority.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
3+ years of roofing experience
Management skills

Physical Requirements:
Ability to handle physical labor and strenuous tasks.
Able to stand and walk project site for extended period of times.
Regularly talk and/or hear.
Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
Occasionally required to but not limited to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.
Must be able to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, attics and tunnels.
Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move at least 50 pounds regularly/occasionally
Must be able to respond quickly to sounds.
Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
Must be able to see and respond to dangerous situations.
Must be able to safely climb ladders while carrying up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day.
Must be able to work in hot and cold environments and on concrete floors.
