Role

As a Robotics Software Engineer, you will develop and deploy advanced robotics solutions and automation systems with and for our solution builders. You will closely collaborate with our Solution Development and Platform groups, as well as industry partners to advance manufacturing automation by extending our core technology. Your daily responsibilities include developing and integrating complex software features for and with our solution builder partners, working hands-on to bridge the gap between current automation solutions with Intrinsic’s automation tools, and ensuring the successful deployment of impactful robotics solutions in production environments.

How your work moves the mission forward

• Develop advanced robotics solutions and automation systems for manufacturing environments, utilizing the Intrinsic platform.

• Design, implement, test, and maintain high-quality software features to expand the templated solutions developed on the Intrinsic platform.

• Own the development of cell-level features, including the integration of robotics solutions with machine tending applications.

• Document designs, processes, and results, communicating effectively with internal technical teams and development partners.

• Collaborate closely with our industry partners to successfully deploy developed robotics solutions and automation systems into production manufacturing settings.

Skills you will need to be successful

• Master’s degree or equivalent practical background in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field.

• Proven track record developing and deploying industrial robotics solutions and automation systems within manufacturing or production environments.

• Professional programming proficiency with C++ and/or Python, emphasizing Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and high-quality software practices.

• Practical experience building I/O interfaces and integrating systems with industrial protocols or manufacturing execution systems.

• Familiarity with common robot makes and models (KUKA, FANUC, ABB) from installation to programming.

• Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal cross-functional teams and external technical partners.

Skills that will differentiate your candidacy

• Familiarity with software products for robotics and automation (like FANUC ROBOGUIDE, ABB RobotStudio Suite, Siemens Process Simulate, RoboDK, TwinCAT or software like ROS).

• Demonstrated ability developing and deploying applications using technologies such as Kubernetes, gRPC, Protobuf, Bazel, microservice architectures, and/or real-time systems.

• Willingness to get hands-on with robot and cell hardware.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

In addition to the salary range below, this full-time position is eligible for bonus + equity + benefits. Your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range + bonus + equity for your targeted location and role during the hiring process.

Salary Range
$196,000—$208,250 USD
