As we continue to grow, we are actively expanding our Lake Charles team in preparation for increasing our capacity to 46 beds, allowing us to better serve both adult and geriatric patient populations.

We are currently seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our clinical team on the Night Shift (6:45 PM - 7:00 AM), working a 2/3 block schedule.
POSITION SUMMARY:
A Registered Nurse (RN) at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles provides comprehensive nursing care to patients with mental and behavioral health conditions while ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
In this role, the RN conducts patient assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, administers medications, and monitors patient progress. They observe and document changes in behavior and mental status, respond to crises, and utilize de-escalation techniques when needed.
The RN collaborates with physicians, therapists, and other team members to support treatment goals, while also educating patients and families on care and coping strategies. Strong clinical judgment, communication, and compassion are essential to deliver safe, effective psychiatric care.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: A minimum of an associate degree in nursing.
License: Licensed as a RN to practice in the state
Experience: One year of RN experience preferred; experience performing duties in a healthcare setting.
