We are currently seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our clinical team with working a 2/3 block schedule and 12-hour shifts.
POSITION SUMMARY:
A Registered Nurse (RN) at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles provides compassionate, high-quality care to patients with mental and behavioral health needs while helping maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
RNs are responsible for conducting patient assessments, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, and monitoring patient progress. They observe and document changes in condition, respond to urgent situations, and use de-escalation techniques to promote safety and stability.
Working closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, RNs support treatment goals and provide education to patients and families regarding care plans and coping strategies.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication skills, and a patient-centered approach, making RNs a vital part of the care team and patient outcomes.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: A minimum of an associate degree in nursing.
License: Licensed as a RN to practice in the state
Experience: One year of RN experience is preferred; experience performing duties in a healthcare setting is preferred.
