Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor/interpret cardiac telemetry
• Perform IV starts and lab draws
• Respond to rapid changes in patient condition
• Document care in compliance with standards
• Manage high-volume caseloads
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams

Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Education: ADN/BSN from an accredited program
• Licensure: Active, unrestricted NY RN license.
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (must be current or eligible for immediate renewal)
• Experience:
• Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and acuity level as the hiring hospital
• Must have experience in Med Surg/Tele unit.
• Experience with high patient volume and multidisciplinary teams is strongly preferred
• Travel nurses must have experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers or hospitals of equal or greater size
• Technical Skills:
• Must be Proficient in starting IVs
• Must be able to draw labs independently
• Must be skilled in monitoring and interpreting telemetry (tele)
• Must have the ability to quickly assess and respond to changing patient conditions
• Soft Skills:
• Rapid clinical assessment
• Crisis management
• Multidisciplinary collaboration
• Must have strong documentation and communication skills
