Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry (Nights) for a leading Level II Trauma Center in Winchester, VA.
This position offers the opportunity to provide high-acuity care in a dynamic hospital setting serving adult patients with cardiac, vascular, and medical-surgical needs. The RN will deliver direct patient care, manage treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best patient outcomes.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and standards.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, maintaining precise documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to optimize patient care.
• Serve as a resource and leader on the unit by mentoring peers and assisting in charge responsibilities when needed.
• Participate in professional development, unit-based initiatives, and continuous quality improvement.
Requirements:
Education
• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required (ASN/AND).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Experience
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience preferred.
Licensure/Certifications
• Active RN license in Virginia or eligibility for licensure.
• BLS certification required (AHA-approved).
• ACLS preferred.
Skills & Competencies
• Proven ability to handle complex patient cases in a telemetry or step-down environment.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Comfortable with EMR systems (EPIC experience a plus).
