Overview
We are seeking an experienced RN Manager – Cardiovascular Prep & Recovery to lead cardiac observation, echocardiography (ECHO), and stress testing services within an acute care hospital setting.
This leadership role oversees pre- and post-cardiac testing services and is responsible for clinical quality, operational management, regulatory compliance, staff development, and financial performance. The ideal candidate brings strong cardiology and/or critical care experience, proven leadership stability, and a track record of team engagement and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Clinical & Operational Leadership
• Oversee daily operations of cardiovascular prep and recovery services, including cardiac observation, ECHO, and stress testing areas.
• Ensure high-quality, patient-centered care across the continuum of cardiovascular services.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and patient safety standards.
• Coordinate services within the department and across hospital service lines.
• Serve as a clinical resource and liaison to medical staff.
Staff Leadership & Development
• Recruit, hire, orient, and evaluate department personnel.
• Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels and competencies to meet patient care needs.
• Oversee disciplinary processes and human resource matters when necessary.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and longevity.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
• Maintain departmental operations within established budget parameters.
• Monitor productivity and performance metrics.
• Support strategic initiatives aligned with hospital objectives.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate department policies and procedures.
Required
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Missouri RN license or multistate compact RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years leadership experience in a related cardiovascular or critical care setting.
• Strong cardiology background required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS certification (within required timeframe).
Preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Experience leading cardiac observation, ECHO, or stress testing services.
• Demonstrated history of longevity and progressive leadership growth.
