RN Emergency Room Manager – Days or Evenings – Full-Time

Location: Salem, VA

Shifts:

• Main ER: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM OR 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

• Free-Standing ER: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Schedule: Full-Time | No Weekends

Pay Range: $42.55–$58.03/hour (based on years of experience)

Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15,000

Relocation Assistance: $1,500

• Oversee daily operations of a busy Emergency Room unit (Main or Free-Standing ED)

• Act as point of contact for staffing, unit planning, and resource management

• Assist with recruitment, orientation, and performance evaluations of staff

• Ensure compliance with licensure, training, competencies, and in-service requirements

• Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe, timely, and effective patient care

• Maintain high-quality patient experiences and clinical outcomes

• Step in for the Director of the ED in their absence

• Current RN license (Virginia or Compact)

• BLS from AHA (required)

• TNCC, ACLS, and PALS (must be obtained within 1 year of start)

• Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required); BSN preferred or in progress

• Must have ER management experience

• Prior charge nurse experience and progressive leadership responsibilities preferred

Experience Credit Calculation:

• 1 year of charge nurse = 1 year of experience

• 3 years of staff RN = 1 year of credit

• 1 year of ED Manager = 1 year of credit
