Join a compassionate and skilled nursing team as a Cardiac Telemetry RN in Independence, MO. This is a full-time opportunity within a 36-bed cardiac specialty unit where your critical thinking and clinical expertise will be key to monitoring and managing acute cardiac patients.

Unit Overview

• 36-bed Cardiac Specialty Unit

• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio:

• Day shift: 4–5:1

• Night shift: 5–6:1

• Common patient cases:

• Chest pain, stroke, COPD, GI issues, accelerated heart rhythm, post-op recovery, and more

• Drip and telemetry monitoring

Key Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic and administrative services in line with hospital policy

• Monitor and assess patients with cardiac-related conditions

• Interpret ECGs and respond to emergency situations

• Deliver care to patients age 16+ needing step-down or continuous telemetry monitoring

• Ensure patient safety and apply interventions to mitigate risks

• Advance knowledge in psychosocial, pathophysiological, and therapeutic cardiac care

• Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of acute care RN experience required

• Education:

• Diploma, ADN, or BSN from an accredited nursing program

• Licensure:

• Active RN license in Missouri or Compact RN license with Missouri eligibility

• Certifications:

• BLS required upon hire

• ACLS required within 1 year of hire
