We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Resident Medical Officer (RMO) / Duty Doctor to join a healthcare facility in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. This is a full-time, on-site role ideal for a committed medical professional who is passionate about patient care and clinical excellence. The RMO will play a critical role in ensuring continuous medical support, timely clinical decision-making, and smooth coordination between departments. The position is well-suited for BAMS doctors or medical professionals with hands-on hospital experience who are comfortable handling emergency situations, inpatient care, and day-to-day clinical operations.
As an RMO, you will be responsible for providing round-the-clock medical coverage, supporting consultants, and ensuring high standards of patient safety and care. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to work under pressure, and a collaborative approach to healthcare delivery.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Provide continuous medical care to inpatients and outpatients as per duty schedules
• Act as the first point of contact for patients during emergencies and urgent medical situations
• Conduct initial patient assessments, examinations, and documentation of medical history
• Monitor patient progress, vital signs, and response to treatment on a regular basis
• Implement treatment plans as advised by consulting physicians and specialists
• Assist senior doctors during procedures, rounds, and emergency interventions
• Ensure accurate and timely medical documentation, including case sheets and daily progress notes
• Coordinate with nursing staff, diagnostic teams, and other departments for effective patient management
• Handle admissions, discharges, and referrals in compliance with hospital protocols
• Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, ethical practices, and patient safety standards
• Participate in night duties, rotational shifts, and on-call responsibilities as required
• Communicate clearly with patients and their families regarding treatment progress and care plans
What Makes You a Great Fit
• A qualified BAMS doctor or medical professional eligible to work as an RMO / Duty Doctor
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a hospital, nursing home, or clinical setup
• Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to manage routine and emergency medical cases
• Experience working in inpatient care, emergency services, or critical care environments
• Calm, composed, and confident decision-maker, especially in high-pressure situations
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
• Strong sense of responsibility, ethics, and commitment to patient-centered care
• Ability to work independently during duty hours while collaborating effectively with consultants
• Willingness to work full-time with rotational shifts, including nights and weekends
