Job Description

Syngenta Seeds is one of the world’s largest developers and producers of seed for farmers, commercial growers, retailers and small seed companies. Syngenta seeds improve the quality and yields of crops. High-quality seeds ensure better and more productive crops, which is why farmers invest in them. Advanced seeds help mitigate risks such as disease and drought and allow farmers to grow food using less land, less water and fewer inputs.

Syngenta Seeds brings farmers more vigorous, stronger, resistant plants, including innovative hybrid varieties and biotech crops that can thrive even in challenging growing conditions.

Syngenta Seeds is headquartered in the United States.

The Rice Campaign Manager is accountable for designing and executing integrated marketing campaigns for Syngenta’s hybrid rice portfolio, spanning institutional stakeholders, general trade, and farmers, to build demand, credibility, and long-term adoption of hybrid rice.

The role plays a critical part in positioning Syngenta hybrid rice as a preferred market choice and trusted partner in achieving rice sufficiency, productivity improvement, and food security goals, while simultaneously driving grower-level conversion, education, and brand loyalty in the general trade.

Working under the Grower Marketing Manager (GMM), the Rice Campaign Manager ensures that rice campaigns are policy-aware, stakeholder-aligned, execution-ready, and commercially impactful across national, regional, and local levels.

Accountabilities

Rice Campaign Strategy & Planning

• Develop and execute annual rice campaign strategies and plans aligned with Rice Business Unit priorities, government programs, and agri-calendars.
• Translate rice portfolio priorities into clear campaign objectives, target segments, and activation plans across institutional and general trade channels.
• Ensure consistent positioning of Syngenta hybrid rice as a productivity, income, and food security solution.

Institutional & Stakeholder Engagement (Public Sector & Value Chain)

• Lead marketing-led engagement with regional DA units, provincial and municipal agriculturists, and other relevant government stakeholders, in close coordination with the Rice Business Head and Corporate, Government and Public Affairs.
• Support positioning of Syngenta as a credible technical and commercial partner for government rice hybridization, yield improvement, and food security initiatives.
• Engage downstream value-chain stakeholders including grain traders, millers, and food chain partners to strengthen market acceptance, pull, and sustainability of hybrid rice.
• Develop campaign narratives, materials, and programs that align hybrid rice adoption with national and local rice sufficiency goals.

Grower & General Trade Demand Creation

• Design and execute farmer-focused campaigns to build awareness, understanding, and adoption of hybrid rice in the general trade.
• Lead field-based activations, including demos, field days, trainings, and farmer education programs, in collaboration with RRLs and ATS.
• Support development of promotions, loyalty initiatives, and educational tools that address grower concerns on yield, cost, grain quality, and profitability.
• Ensure campaigns are simple, practical, and relevant to farmer decision-making.

Campaign Execution & Enablement

• Translate campaign strategies into clear execution toolkits for RRLs and partners.
• Work with creative, technical, and digital teams to develop rice-specific content (guides, trial results, success stories, videos).
• Ensure high execution quality and consistency across regions and channels.

Cross-Functional & BU Collaboration

• Work closely with the Grower Marketing Manager, Rice Business Head, Regional Rice Leads (RRLs), Agronomy and Technical Services (ATS), and Portfolio & Technical Manager to ensure alignment.
• Coordinate with Corporate Affairs and Sustainability teams where campaigns interface with public-sector or policy-related initiatives.
• Ensure rice campaigns are aligned with supply availability, tender programs, and commercial guardrails.

Market Intelligence, Insights & Feedback

• Gather insights from government stakeholders, growers, and value-chain partners to inform campaign refinement.
• Monitor competitor activity, policy developments, and market sentiment related to rice and hybridization.
• Feed insights back into MIPS and the Rice BU to improve portfolio strategy and execution.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

• Track campaign performance using agreed KPIs (adoption, participation, awareness, conversion).
• Prepare regular updates for the Grower Marketing Manager and Rice Business Head.
• Recommend data-driven improvements to campaign design and execution.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Agribusiness, Agriculture, Business Management, or related field
• Master’s degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3–5+ years experience in agribusiness, seeds, rice, or crop-related marketing roles
