A healthcare organization in New Hartford is seeking two Board-Eligible, Board-Certifiable, or Board-Certified Rheumatologists to join a collaborative medical team that provides specialized care for patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions. This opportunity offers a supportive clinical environment, access to modern diagnostic resources, and strong collaboration with primary care providers and specialists.
Position Overview
The Rheumatologist will diagnose and manage a wide range of rheumatic and autoimmune disorders. The role will primarily involve outpatient care, with the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive treatment and long-term disease management.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose and treat autoimmune and inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout, and other connective tissue disorders
• Conduct patient evaluations, including medical histories and physical examinations
• Interpret laboratory tests and imaging studies related to rheumatologic conditions
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and biologic therapies
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate patients on disease management, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
• Collaborate with primary care physicians and specialists to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical collaboration

Requirements:
General Requirements
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency program
• Completion of an accredited Rheumatology fellowship program
• Eligible for or able to obtain a New York medical license
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and patient care abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
