A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Revenue Management Intern to be part of a Cluster of 6 properties in Luxembourg, including 2 Sofitel, 2 Novotel, 1 Novotel Suites and 1 Mama Shelter for a total of 902 keys.
Reporting to Revenue Managers, the RM intern is responsible for the daily follow up and actioning of tactical & operational efforts, which drive and optimize profitable revenue to the hotel rooms division. He/she ensures that inventory, pricing and distribution strategies are monitored to support the overall revenue goals of the hotel, in accordance with the brand's recommendations.
What you will be DOING:
• Analyze current and historical demand including rooms on the books, competitive set and market trends to aid in more accurate forecasting.
• Monitors transient and group booking pace to determine pricing and availability controls for all reservation distribution sources.
• Elaborate Groups quotation and arbitrate demands among hotels
• Maximize rate parity by following up Distribution Heath Score
• Keep an eye on third party intelligence sources to identify revenue opportunities (OTA, GDS, market studies)
• Revenue Culture: keep in touch with all teams to ensure revenue management principles are understood and followed.
 
Assists the hotel Revenue Managers with some or all these tasks:
 
• Daily/ weekly / monthly reporting
• Monitoring of transient and group book pace to determine pricing and availability controls for all reservation distribution sources.
• Monitoring of key indicators of hotel revenue performance
• Preparation of analysis & materials for the weekly revenue strategy meetings.
• Tracking and analysis of competitive set pricing and yield strategies.
• Edition and analysis of current and historical demand including lost business turndown, rooms on the books, competitive set and market trends to aid in more accurate forecasting.
• Monitoring of third-party intelligence sources to identify revenue opportunities (OTA, GDS, market studies). Keep current with industry changes and how it may impact demand.
• Working with Reservations and Front Desk to ensure the highest level of guest service is maintained while maximizing profit.
• Boosting the revenue culture by maintaining a strong communication with hotel teams to ensure revenue management principles are understood and followed.
Your experience and skills include IDEALLY:
• Bachelor degree in Hotel Management or Business School  
• Analytical approach to problem solving, good business acumen and numerical reasoning
• Problem-solving abilities, a tactical thinker
• Possessing the traits of being organized and multi-tasking
• Demonstrate good communication skills both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate natural and outgoing social/interpersonal skills
