Overview:
The Revenue Cycle Manager oversees the financial operations related to patient care, ensuring accurate billing, efficient claims processing, and timely collections. They are responsible for managing the entire revenue cycle, from patient registration to final payment, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as expertise in healthcare billing and coding.
Key Responsibilities
Provide daily oversight and management of the Billing & Coding Specialist, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to organizational standards.
Improve revenue cycle management by optimizing billing processes, reducing denials, and accelerating claims processing.
Enhance patient data collection processes to ensure accurate capture of key data points critical for generating clean claims.
Manage provider credentialing processes to maintain compliance with accreditation standards and contractual obligations.
Maximize program income from third-party payers through efficient claims management.
Participate in leadership training and HIM/Revenue Cycle management education to stay updated with industry trends and regulatory changes.
Initiate and facilitate changes in HIM practices to align with regulatory updates and industry best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement HIM-related projects and initiatives effectively.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Oversees program performance, operational planning, and budget management to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Supports lead staff to foster collaboration, accountability, and day-to-day support.
Drives program success through effective project execution and outcome accountability.
Makes operational decisions within the scope of assigned teams or programs.
Oversees and ensures effective training for program staff.
Contributes to policy and process development, ensuring daily operational compliance.
Will collaborate with Director to ensure progress towards program/dept goals
Provide input to Director for program/dept performance/reporting
Will contribute to a positive workplace culture and ensure culture is in alignment with Matthew 25 values
Collaborates with Human Resources to identify program staff training needs, recommend role-specific professional development opportunities, and support the review and implementation of job-related training programs.
Participates in program-specific quality improvement projects by evaluating processes, recommending enhancements, and supporting implementation efforts to strengthen program outcomes and compliance with funding requirements.

Communication Skills Must be able to communicate in both written and verbal form

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Health Information Management) required, or equivalent experience across multiple areas of the revenue cycle
3–5 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle management, medical billing, or healthcare finance required.
1-2 years of experience in personnel supervision, budgeting, financial management, and nonprofit experience.
Experience working in a nonprofit organization or a strong desire to work in service driven environment.

Flexibility, as our services are available to a large geographic area in the state of Kentucky, which may require some travel
Valid Driver’s License with at least three (3) years driving experience and less than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background test.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
This position is considered a fully remote position when duties are performed within the scope of this job description. If performing duties outside of the essential duties of this job description, the employee may request an alternative accommodation from their director to best meet the needs of the employee for the terms of the irregular duties.
