We are now launching a new Global Shared Service Centre in Sofia. This hub is the strategic heart of our international finance and people operations, and we are looking for leaders to contribute to building the global team from the ground up.

The Opportunity

As a Revenue Accountant, you will serve as a strategic contributor within our team, driving the Finance Operations engine to ensure delivering accurate and timely recognition of revenue in compliance with IFRS 15. You will own the revenue month-end close process, review complex customer contracts, and act as a key business partner to our Sales, Legal, and FP&A teams.

Requirements

• Timely and accurate completion of the month-end and year-end closing revenue accounting processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting

• Responsible for revenue accounting and reporting, including revenue recognition, revenue streams, account reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments.

• Calculate deferred and accrued revenue and post journal allocations

• Review complex high-value sales contracts and agreements to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment

• Preparation of account and variance analysis, provide insights into financial trends affecting business operations.

• Collaborate with external auditors, preparation of various audit schedules and gathering of audit support.

• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, and internal policies.

• Assist FP&A colleagues explaining deviations versus forecast month over month/year over year

• Seek continuous improvement and constantly challenge self to maintain the highest of standards

Essential Criteria

• Financial qualification - Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other relevant field

• Experience in revenue accounting role at least 3 years

• Knowledge of IFRS 15 (more precisely IFRS 15)

• An understanding of core financial processes and relevant systems

• Experience in a fast-paced similar sized environment

• Experience in delivering great customer / user experience

• Ability to set and achieve stretch goals prioritise tasks and work closely with colleagues

• Ability to complete work to a high standard whilst identifying opportunities for further improvement

• Mindset to own and drive their development plans: to improve their technical and soft skills and their understanding of the business

• Strong attention to detail; able to provide accurate and timely data/reporting

• Adaptability to change and positive mindset

• Ability to build trusted relationships
