Job Description: We’re seeking a part time Retail Pharmacy Processing Technician to join our team in our corporate office in Watkinsville, The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data entry, and strong knowledge of pharmacy operations. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Accurately and efficiently completes data entry of prescriptions.
Assists the pharmacist in providing medication, drug information, and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare related personnel.
Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Demonstrates ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral and diagram form. Troubleshoots all issues effectively.
Demonstrates ability to deal with issues involving several variables in particular situations.
Professionally and efficiently interacts via email and telephone with customers, co-workers, and other healthcare professionals. When applicable, makes phone calls on behalf of the pharmacy to insurance companies, healthcare facilities, etc. for the purpose of problem solving and information gathering.
Professionally interacts with all patients and their family members, when applicable, demonstrating ability to handle difficult interactions and resolve customer complaints. Demonstrates ability to recognize when a customer service situation needs to be escalated.
Works with CIO, COO and VPs on project support initiatives and tasks to help maximize operational efficiencies and workflows.
Assists teams with data aggregation and utilization via reporting tools based on data aggregated from various vendor applications and sources.
Provides support for remote services with line item entry/verification and additional support needs that may be needed.
Defines problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions.
Assists with training team members and clients on the utilization of support service tools or processes.
Communicates within the organization and with clients in a consistent and effective manner.
Understands and implements appropriate time management and prioritization of tasks ensuring timely management of job responsibilities.
Adheres to the policies and procedures of each department and client or facility.
Provides excellent customer service within the organization and for clients.
Demonstrates ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the organization.
Demonstrates ability to appropriately utilize various EHR systems and remote connectivity solutions as needed for work-related tasks.
Serves as a Pharmacy Technician or similar role as necessary.
Position Requirements:
Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
Previous experience with Retail Pharmacy Systems
Google Workspace and Microsoft Office experience preferred
Previous computer skills/ tech savvy
Schedule Details:
