Job Description
We are looking for a Production Technician to support residential and commercial restoration projects in the Scranton, Pennsylvania area. This role works on cleanup, mitigation, demolition, drying, and related field work tied to water, fire, mold, and property damage restoration. The ideal candidate may come from restoration, construction, mitigation, remediation, or general labor backgrounds, but the priority is finding someone dependable, coachable, and willing to grow in a fast-paced service environment. SERVPRO franchise operations commonly handle fire, water, and mold-related cleanup and restoration work, and training/certification pathways in restoration are part of the broader SERVPRO system.
Responsibilities
• Perform restoration and cleanup work for residential and commercial properties affected by water, fire, mold, and related damage
• Assist with demolition, debris removal, drying setup, cleanup, and job site preparation
• Load, unload, move, and maintain restoration equipment, tools, and materials
• Follow job instructions from production leaders, supervisors, and project team members
• Monitor drying equipment, job progress, and site conditions as directed
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at customer sites and company facilities
• Participate in after-hours, weekend, and on-call rotation as needed
• Work overtime when project volume or emergency response needs require it
• Communicate professionally with team members, managers, and customers during active jobs
• Document work completed and support efficient job closeout processes
Requirements:
• 1+ years of experience in restoration, construction, mitigation, remediation, demolition, general labor, or a related hands-on field role preferred
• Restoration experience is helpful, but not required
• Willingness to learn restoration processes, equipment use, and industry best practices
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting, standing, bending, and moving materials throughout the day
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced field environment with changing priorities
• Ability to work on weekends, participate in on-call rotation, and take on overtime as needed
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred
• Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to grow with the team
• Candidates based in Scranton are preferred, though qualified candidates from Allentown may also be considered
• Relocation assistance may be available for the right candidate
Benefits:
Compensation: $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience. Full-time position. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates. Benefits may include health insurance, retirement plan options, paid time off, and other company-sponsored programs.
