The Responsible Pharmacist (RP) holds the legal accountability for the pharmacy’s operation under the Dutch Medicines Act (Geneesmiddelenwet). You will ensure that Medetone Pharmacy operates safely, ethically, and in full compliance with the Health and Youth Care Inspectorate (IGJ) standards. This is a critical leadership role ensuring patient safety and pharmaceutical integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Legal Supervision: Act as the primary point of contact for the IGJ and ensure all licenses (GDRFA/MoH equivalent in NL) are maintained.
• Quality Assurance: Implementation and oversight of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Clinical Oversight: Supervise the dispensing of medications, verify high-risk prescriptions, and manage drug interactions/recalls.
• Staff Leadership: Supervise the Pharmacy Assistants and Packers, ensuring a high standard of clinical practice.
• Narcotics Management: Strict oversight of Opium Law (Opiumwet) registrations and secure storage.

Requirements:
Candidate Requirements

• BIG-Registration: Must be a Registered Pharmacist in the Netherlands (BIG-register).
• Experience: 3+ years of post-registration experience (preferred) with a strong understanding of Dutch pharmacy law.
• Language: Professional fluency in Dutch (C1/C2) and English.
• Integrity: A clean professional record with the Royal Dutch Pharmacists Association (KNMP).
• Duration: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with potential for extension based on performance) and Immediate Joiner and should have legal residency/work permit for the Netherlands.
