We are seeking a skilled and efficient Staff Cafeteria Cook to join our team at a prestigious resort in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for our staff members, ensuring a positive dining experience while maintaining food safety standards.
• Plan and prepare nutritious and appealing meals for resort staff members
• Develop and update menu items based on seasonal availability and staff preferences
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
• Collaborate with the cafeteria team to ensure smooth operations during meal services
• Monitor food quality and presentation
• Accommodate special dietary requirements and food allergies
• Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste
• Participate in menu planning and recipe development
• Ensure compliance with all health department regulations and resort policies
• Proven experience as a cook in a high-volume kitchen setting
• Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
• Excellent understanding of food safety principles and hygiene standards
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Team player with good communication abilities
• Culinary degree or diploma preferred
• Current food safety certification required
• Knowledge of various cuisines, including Middle Eastern (preferred)
• Understanding of dietary restrictions and food allergies
• Experience in a resort or hotel setting is a plus
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
