Looking for a team-oriented leader to join our Housekeeping team at our French Quarter II resort in Branson, Missouri!
Work Type: Full-time, year-round.
Work Hours: 8AM - 4:30PM. 40 hours a week.
This position requires weekend availability (both Saturday and Sunday).

Position Summary:
Responsible for the housekeeping staff. As a department head, directs and works with managers and team members to successfully execute all housekeeping operations. Strives to continually improve guest and team member satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department. Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. after being cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards are met. Verifies and updates room status (prioritizes room cleaning, determines, documents, & resolves room discrepancies, as well as updates status of departing guest rooms). Coordinates the efforts of Housekeeping, Maintenance, Front Office, and Laundry. Prepares, distributes, and communicates changes in assignment sheets/work-boards. Communicates issues to next shift. Completes required paperwork. Welcomes and acknowledges all guests according to company standards; anticipates and addresses guests service needs; assists individuals with disabilities; thanks guests with genuine appreciation. Speaks with others using clear and professional language. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others; listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensures adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
Inventories housekeeping supplies, equipment (ensures equipment is in good working order), and chemicals and orders replacements as needed. Issues supplies and equipment to team members.
Reports Work Related accidents or other injuries to management; Ensures Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are up to date and ensures employee compliance. Follows Hazardous Materials Management Program protocols when handling disposal of any chemical, pesticide, bloodborne pathogen, etc. Ensures that staff wear PPE when needed.
Schedules routine carpet/tile cleaning and deep cleaning of rooms.
Attends periodic staff meetings with other department heads to discuss company policies and any guest complaints and makes recommendations to improve service and to ensure efficient operations.
Plans and posts housekeeping, laundry, and houseman schedules to ensure adequate service. Prepares room assignments for rooms to be cleaned. Schedules midweek cleans for stay-overs. Updates Front Desk Housekeeping daily worksheet. Informs and works with Maintenance Department regarding maintenance concerns and/or problems found in the Resort or in individual rooms. Reports status to the front desk. Checks ODH (On-demand-housekeeping).
Inspects areas cleaned to ensure standards are met. Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and takes corrective action. Uses active listening techniques to de-escalate irate guests.
Ensures staff dates and tags room number (if known) of all lost and found items left in rooms or on property and provides an up-to-date list to their supervisor. Brings items to a secure designated area and reports all lost and found items to the Front Desk.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain conf identicality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
Directly supervises a staff in the Housekeeping Department. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the resort’s policies and applicable laws.
Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, directs work; appraises performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
Proven ability to work within budgetary guidelines, maintains proper inventory, understands analytical information, and consistently communicates progress and needs to Resort Manager.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or G.E.D.; or one to three month’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five Years of Work-Related Experience and Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
