Are you a passionate clinical leader dedicated to healing the lives of children through trauma-informed care?
The Settlement Home for Children is seeking a Residential Treatment Center (RTC) Director to lead our Residential Treatment Center (RTC) Program.
In this pivotal role, you will be the heartbeat of our clinical operations, ensuring that every child in our care receives the high-quality, specialized services they deserve.
The Impact You Will Make
As the Residential Treatment Center (RTC) Director, you are the architect of healing.
You will oversee the administration and execution of our RTC program, providing direct leadership to our therapists and supervisors.
You will ensure the fidelity of our TBRIⓇ (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) model, guiding our staff in child-centered, trauma-informed techniques that meet the unique needs of every resident.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership: Supervise and evaluate cottage therapists and supervisors to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
Program Fidelity: Act as the guardian of the TBRIⓇ model, ensuring it is integrated into all aspects of resident treatment.
Admissions & Intake: Review referrals, screen potential admissions, and conduct orientations for new residents and their families.
Case Management Oversight: Review and approve service plans to ensure they meet licensing standards and, most importantly, the child's specific needs.
Direct Support: Provide individual and group therapy as needed and manage crisis situations with a calm, expert hand.
Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a thorough knowledge of Texas Minimum Standards and ensure the program remains in full compliance.
Who You Are
We are looking for a seasoned clinician who balances administrative excellence with a deep, empathetic understanding of childhood trauma.
Required Qualifications:
Fully Licensed Professional: You must be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
Education: A Master’s degree in a human services field with specific coursework in family/individual function and a supervised practicum.
Experience: At least three years of experience providing treatment to children with emotional disorders, including at least one year in a residential setting.
Leadership: Proven supervisory experience and the ability to mentor a multidisciplinary team.
Skills: Expertise in individual, group, and family therapy, coupled with strong organizational and computer skills.
Physical Readiness: Ability to complete Emergency Behavioral Intervention training and safely administer physical restraints if necessary.
Preferred Credentials:
LCSW-S or LPC-S designation.
Experience conducting employee training and overseeing a training calendar.
