Outpatient Therapist
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Residential Therapist to provide high-quality behavioral health services to adults (18 and older) seeking mental health and/or co-occurring substance use treatment. In this role, you will conduct individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing a variety of evidence-based practices to facilitate positive, strength-based change for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Client Assessment & Treatment Planning:
Complete comprehensive assessments, integrate key information to establish a diagnosis, and create a clinical formulation within a designated timeframe.
Collaborate with clients to develop measurable, behavioral, and achievable goals for their treatment plans.
Regularly monitor and update treatment progress.
Clinical Care & Documentation:
Provide individual, family, and group therapy using evidence-based practices such as the Harm Reduction Model, Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Ensure all clinical documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.
Secure reimbursement for services by obtaining and tracking authorizations.
Collaboration & Crisis Management:
Work collaboratively with other service providers, both internal and external, to ensure clients receive comprehensive care.
Respond to your client's crises, providing appropriate triage and communicating clearly with professionals to meet immediate client needs.
Provide referrals and linkage to community and internal resources as needed.
Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health-related field is required. A Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a similar field is strongly preferred.
Experience:
A minimum of two years of experience providing group and/or individual therapy to a co-occurring population.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Outlook) is required.
Willingness and ability to learn and use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system for scheduling, documentation, and tracking.
Knowledge & Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices, including the Harm Reduction Model, Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Understanding of physical, medical, and pharmacological issues related to substance use.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong ability to maintain client confidentiality and respond professionally in crisis situations.
