Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Residential Refrigeration Mechanic to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing residential refrigeration systems, including heat pumps, and air conditioning equipment in homes across the province.

Key Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, and repair residential refrigeration and cooling systems

Diagnose system issues, test components, and perform corrective actions

Install and connect refrigeration lines, electrical components, and controls

Perform routine maintenance and safety inspections

Provide detailed service reports and documentation

Ensure all work complies with Technical Safety BC, provincial codes, and industry standards

Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism

Follow company safety procedures and maintain tools/equipment

Qualifications & Requirements

Valid Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic / Red Seal certification

Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record

Experience working on residential refrigeration or HVAC equipment

Heat pump installation experience

Strong understanding of BC refrigeration codes and regulations

Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams

Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and communication skills

Physically capable of lifting equipment and working in various residential environments

Preferred Assets (Optional)

Gas Fitter B certification

WHMIS, First Aid, or other safety certifications
