The Residential Manager oversees daily residential operations within an ASAM 3.1 substance use treatment program, supporting team members in providing high‑quality, person‑centered services to residents transitioning through step‑down care. Working closely with clinical and administrative leadership, this role helps ensure smooth operations, clear expectations, and regulatory compliance. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Provide day‑to‑day operational oversight of the residential program to ensure safety, structure, and continuity of care
Supervise, support, and schedule Direct Support Professionals to ensure appropriate coverage and accountability
Serve as the primary point of escalation for resident or staff concerns and implement timely resolutions
Collaborate with clinical leadership to align residential operations with treatment services and resident needs
Ensure timely and accurate documentation, audits, and compliance with DBHDS, DMAS, ASAM, and organizational standards
Support admissions, medication administration oversight, drug screening, and resident engagement in scheduled services
Conduct safety checks, facility inspections, and oversee inventory, supplies, and residential systems
Provide crisis intervention and on‑call coverage as needed to support program stability
Lead training and development activities for residential staff
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered)
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in residential services, behavioral health, or program coordination
At least one (1) year of supervisory or leadership experience in a direct care setting
Familiarity with substance use treatment and trauma‑informed care principles
Knowledge of DBHDS/DMAS standards and documentation practices
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to successfully complete required background and registry checks
