We are looking for candidates with experience as a Residential Designer, Kitchen Designer, Kitchen and Bath Designer, or Interior Designer focused on residential remodeling. The ideal candidate should have strong experience with Chief Architect (preferred), or similar tools such as 2020 Design or SketchUp, and be skilled in kitchen and bathroom layouts, space planning, cabinet design, and 3D renderings. They should have experience working on residential remodels and understand how to create functional, buildable layouts, not just visual designs. Please prioritize candidates who demonstrate real project layouts and plans in their portfolio. Avoid candidates with backgrounds in graphic design, UI/UX, fashion, or those focused only on styling or staging without layout and space planning experience.

Residential Designer – Kitchen & Bath (Remote)

We are a U.S.-based residential construction company specializing in remodels and additions. We are looking for a Residential Designer to support our design and pre-construction team.

This role is primarily focused on creating kitchen and bathroom layouts and 3D renderings, while also supporting project coordination and permitting to help move projects into construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Create kitchen and bathroom layouts based on project scope
• Develop 3D renderings using Chief Architect
• Assist in visualizing design concepts for clients
• Submit plans to city jurisdictions for permitting
• Track permit status and follow up as needed
• Keep internal teams on track with tasks and timelines
• Request and organize bids from trades including windows, doors, electrical, concrete, and other project-specific scopes
• Maintain organized project documentation

Requirements:
Required Skills

• Experience creating kitchen and bathroom layouts and renderings
• Proficiency in Chief Architect (or similar software)
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong communication skills and ability to speak directly with customers and vendors in a professional and personable way

• This role is focused on layouts and renderings, not full architectural plan production
• Candidates should be comfortable supporting both design and coordination tasks
