Role: Children’s Care Worker
Salary: Up to £25,640.00 per annum inclusive of 8 sleep ins payments per month
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Hickling Pastures, Leicestershire

The opportunity

Little Acre is a five bed registered Children’s home, supporting Children and Young People from the ages of 6 – 19 years and is dedicated to build incredible futures by giving the Children and Young People opportunities, developing their life skills and personal interests.
Our home is based in Hickling Pastures and is within commuting distance of Nottingham and Loughborough.
The Role
Options Autism work directly with vulnerable children with Social Emotional Mental Health (SEMH) and complex needs. You will be patient and compassionate and, most of all, dependable – working hard to forge a much-needed relationship of trust with those in your care.
This will involve learning about the young person’s interests as well as their dislikes and their triggers, using that connection as a launchpad for a rewarding relationship. A passion for this kind of relationship-building is essential.
You will be responsible for the wellbeing of the children or young people in your care. This will include chaperoning the children to appointments and activities, completing relevant paperwork, undertaking household tasks, and where appropriate administering medication.
Working as part of an incredible team of committed care workers, you will co-operate and share knowledge and learning to the benefit of great care. Excellent communication skills are essential, both in terms of teamwork and – most importantly – as you will be in close contact with the children you care for.
