Job Summary:
As a Residential therapist, you will be responsible for providing professional counseling services to individuals, families, and groups at one, 10-bed, Behavioral Health Residential Facility. Your primary goal will be to support clients in improving their mental health and well-being by utilizing various therapeutic techniques and interventions. The therapist provides direct support to the clients and the Clinical/Operations Team at the facility. The therapist is responsible for evaluating needs, developing treatment plans and goals, monitoring progress, and documenting the progress of clients while at the facility. The therapist will work closely with the clinical director, car coordinator, and the director of operations to develop customized treatment plans and goals.
Job Duties:
Provide all therapy related treatments to clients at one, 10-Bed, Behavioral Health Residential
Conduct initial evaluations, ongoing progress evaluations, and discharge planning for each
Collaborate closely with family and guardians of the adolescent client while developing and implementing treatment plans and goals.
Conduct individual, family and group therapy
Collaborate with the Clinical Director and Executive Clinical Director
Contact the Clinical Director immediately for any significant client
Report any unusual client behavior or suspicious activity to the Clinical
Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere strictly to confidentiality

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have a Master’s degree or higher in counseling, psychology or a related licensable Associate level licensed preferred.
Current state licensure or certification as a therapist (e.g., Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist).
Valid Driver’s License
21 years of age
Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug
Possess, or have the ability to obtain, a Level One Fingerprint Clearance
Minimum of 1 year work experience in a behavioral setting
Work experience with the adolescent population highly
Highly motivated to work with the adolescent
Strong knowledge of therapeutic techniques and interventions, and ability to apply them effectively in individual and group settings.
Ability to be flexible in developing treatment plans and utilizing a wide range of therapeutic strategies and styles, depending on unique circumstances and client preferences.
Proven experience in conducting therapy sessions with diverse populations and addressing a wide range of mental health concerns.
Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to empathize and establish rapport with
Demonstrated ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical
Strong assessment and diagnostic skills to accurately identify client needs and formulate appropriate treatment
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and effectively communicate with other healthcare
Proficient computer skills for maintaining electronic records and utilizing therapy-related
