Intertek, a leading provider of ATIC (Assurance, Testing, Inspection and Certification) Services, for its Industry Services Division is looking for a QC Inspector/Inspection Coordinator to be based at the supplier’s site in Massa area.
The inspector will be side by side with Lead Inspector/Expediter to oversee, manage, and coordinate QC Inspection Activities/Expediting Activities relevant to the Turbo-Compressor Trains and Auxiliaries for the projects. The ideal candidate should have a good background for rotating equipment Projects, experience in projects coordination, good knowledge of typical applicable documents and expediting experience.
Responsibilities
• Perform inspection activities at EPC premises and EPC sub-vendor’s premises.
• Support Lead Inspector to plan, coordinate, and provide instructions/documentation to local inspectors on the base of applicable Notification for Inspections.
• Liaise daily with the vendor’s quality team and internal stakeholders to address findings, agree on actions, and monitor their closure.
• Support Lead Inspector to maintain accurate records (punch-lists, reports registers, shared folder data), issue reports, and review local inspector’s reports.
• Ensure compliance with Project QC requirements and US regulations, NFPA, ASME, and other relevant codes and standards.
• Proactively identify quality risks and work collaboratively to implement preventive measures.
• Participate in internal and external quality meetings and provide technical input as required.
Requirements:
Minimum 7 years of experience in inspection and Projects follow-up (preferably turbo-compressors trains).
• Knowledge of US codes and standards (e.g., ASME, NFPA, AWS), scope application, and ability to consult them.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Italian language is a plus.
• Availability to attend activities and Meetings at EPC facilities (Tuscany area) but also at sub-vendors (Italy and abroad).
Preferred Qualifications
• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• NDT Qualifications and Welding Inspector Qualification are a plus.
• Familiarity with mechanical and E&I (preferred) scopes is desirable.
