Resident Engagement Assistant
Contract: Fixed-term (6 months – maternity cover), with potential to become permanent
Salary: R15,000 per month
Working Hours: 09:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday
Location: Remote (based in Cape Town or surrounding areas, with availability for occasional office visits in Stellenbosch)
Role Overview
We are looking for an organised, proactive and people-focused Resident Engagement Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis. This role is integral to supporting resident engagement initiatives, coordinating fire safety processes and providing administrative support to ensure compliance obligations are met efficiently and professionally. While this position is initially fixed term there is potential for it to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
The Resident Engagement Assistant will compile, manage and maintain important safety and compliance documentation, engage with residents via email, online forms and phone, and maintain accurate records and trackers. The role also involves supporting the wider team with administrative tasks and assisting in ensuring compliance processes run smoothly and on schedule.
Skills and Requirements
The ideal candidate is proficient in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Zoom and OneDrive.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential and the candidate should be comfortable managing a high volume of calls with multinational residents.
A quiet, private workspace, reliable internet connection (including during extended load shedding), and a backup power supply are required.
Desirable Experience
Experience in property management, call centre or customer-facing roles, or administrative/coordination positions is preferred.
